1/253 Scale. This kit measures 15.5 inches long when complete. The 23rd. August 1958 saw the launch of the Gorch Fock, the last of a series of four sister ships. Built at the Blohm&Voss yard in Hamburg, it was named after the poet and author Johann Kinau who had become known under the pen name of Gorch Fock. This kit features 80 parts molded in green, full hull with propellers and rudders, detailed deck with superstructure, conning tower with control wheel, detailed machine guns and stern anti-aircraft gun. 1:125 scale. This is a model of one of the best known and most feared German U-Boats of WW II. The U-99 sank 43 Allied vessels before finally being sunk by a British Destroyer in 1941. Model measures 20″ long when complete. Features a finely detailed hull and stern with dire planes, 2 rudders and ships screws, 20mm anti-aircraft gun, 3.5″ gun, accurately detailed conning tower with periscopes, hatches and railing. The ship participated in several important battles with different commanders, but it was as the flagship of Admiral Horatio Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar the Victory won the most fame.
